We are looking for a savvy, passionate Director of Field Sales & Education who has a driven sales mentality, and is as excited about sustainability as they are beauty! This role will work closely with the Chief Sales Officer to partner across the business with account management, sales planning and analytics, marketing, education, finance, operations and our retail partners to understand needs and drive thoughtful execution on field sales and education initiatives.The ideal candidate will be an inspirational leader, a strategic thinker, have a deep passion for data and analysis, a proactive mindset for sales, developing teams, and growing a brand in the beauty industry. Responsibilities:

Strategy and Expansion:

  • Develop and implement robust field sales, event, and education strategies aligned with retail sales objectives and ensuring best-in-class execution.
  • Drive the expansion of OSEA's in-store retail presence, optimizing support structures and call cycles for maximum efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Craft focused door strategies and execute successful events to bolster sales performance and brand presence.
  • Plan sampling for brand ambassadors, trainings, event gift-with-purchase (GWPs), and gratis tied to retail partner education, ensuring strategic distribution aligned with marketing plan to maximize brand exposure and product trial.

Field & Retailer Development:

  • Drive acceleration of OSEA’s field team to deliver sales targets, ensure productivity benchmarks, and maximize market share leveraging education and brand marketing strategies.
  • Lead the team to flawlessly execute all events and visual merchandising in alignment with the brand’s guidelines.
  • Engage and develop the field team in line with retail sales growth, including launching recruiting strategies, motivating, and retaining team members to grow with the business.
  • Build and nurture relationships with key store-level, regional and national retail contacts to strengthen brand focus and prioritization.

Education & Events:

  • Manage OSEA’s Education Portal, including working with Brand team to create and oversee videos for new products and updating videos as products are updated, to provide ongoing education and training resources for internal staff and external partners.
  • Partner with Marketing and Retailers to develop and execute engaging and impactful in-store and/or virtual events.
  • Lead internal trainings, spa trainings, and other educational initiatives to ensure consistent brand messaging and product knowledge.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing team to develop educational materials and resources for brand ambassadors, retailers, and consumers, including digital content, training manuals, and product guides.

Budget & Reporting:

  • Own the Field Sales and Education Budget and P&L, including T&E, gratis, collateral, events, and Brand Ambassador spend, and allocate as necessary to maximize impact and efficiency of budget.
  • Partner with the Director of Wholesale Analytics & Strategic Planning to create/iterate sales reporting, analyzing trends and performance to develop strategic plans to improve rank and sell-through.
