What You Will Do?
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Supply Chain Coordinator to join our growing Operations team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for managing and maintaining our master data records, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and consistency across all databases and systems. This role is responsible for production order maintenance which involves ensuring the smooth execution of production orders throughout the manufacturing process. You’ll also oversee the creation, maintenance, and accuracy of BOMs, which are essential documents outlining the components and subassemblies required to manufacture a product.
As the Supply Chain Coordinator, you will be the liaison between the supply chain team and the accounting department for inventory-related transactions. This role requires a strong understanding of data management principles, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate with various teams to ensure data integrity.
Responsibilities
- Production/Purchase Planning Support: Responsible for the transformation of raw materials into finished goods within ERP system. Including the support of creating, submitting and/or maintaining production/purchase orders under the supervision of Production/Procurement planning.
- Material Master Data: They maintain material master data, including detailed information about raw materials, semi-finished goods, and finished products. This data includes specifications, units of measure, storage locations, and other attributes necessary for production planning and control.
- Oversight of Bills of Materials (BOM): Work with Supply Chain team to create accurate and comprehensive BOMs for new products or product variants. Regularly update and maintain existing BOMs to reflect changes in product designs, materials, suppliers, or production processes. Ensure the accuracy and completeness of BOMs by verifying component specifications, quantities, unit of measure, and part numbers.
- WIP & Raw Material Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels of work in progress (WIP), and raw materials to ensure that production orders are executed without shortages or excess inventory.
- Obsolete Inventory Management: Identify and manage obsolete or slow-moving inventory, implementing strategies such as liquidation, write-offs, or alternative uses to minimize financial impact.
- Issue Resolution: Identify issues or discrepancies related to production orders, such as shortages, quality issues, or production delays and collaborate with Inventory Analyst, Production Planning and/or Procurement to resolve.
- Production/Purchase Order Tracking: Monitor the progress of production orders through the manufacturing process, including work in progress (WIP), completion status, and any delays or issues encountered.
- Production/Purchase Order Changes: Responsible for updating system to reflect changes to production orders, such as revisions to quantities, due dates, or specifications, and ensure that all stakeholders are informed and updated accordingly.
- Data Management: Managing data related to inventory transactions such as inventory transfers, receipts, and purchase order maintenance for both raw and finished goods. Ensuring that it is accurate, complete, and accessible for both supply chain and accounting purposes.
- Data Governance: Establish and enforce data governance policies and standards to ensure that master data is created, maintained, and retired in accordance with regulatory requirements and internal guidelines.
- Data Creation: Oversee the process of creating new master data records, ensuring that data is entered accurately and consistently across systems.
- Data Maintenance: Manage the ongoing maintenance of master data, including updates, corrections, and archival of outdated or obsolete records.
- Quality Control: Conducting regular audits and validation checks to ensure data integrity and identify and resolve any data quality issues.
- Collaboration: Working with cross-functional teams to gather, analyze, and interpret data requirements, and ensuring alignment with business needs.
- Documentation: Developing and maintaining documentation related to master data processes and procedures to ensure clarity and consistency in data management practices.
- Communication: Facilitating clear and effective communication between the supply chain and accounting teams, ensuring that both sides have the information they need to perform their roles effectively.
What You Bring?
- Fundamental understanding of supply chain management along with data management principles and best practices.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills with an ability to adapt to the fast-paced, daily needs of the Operations team.
- Organized, detail-oriented and results driven mindset with the ability to consistently deliver quality work.
- Experience developing, creating, and utilizing spreadsheet software (Excel).
- Proactive and highly resourceful, capable of figuring it out and operating with a sense of urgency.
- Team player and collaborator with the ability to work independently.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and establish credibility with internal stakeholders and externals partners across various levels and disciplines.
Your Background
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, information systems, or related field.
- 1+ years of experience in supply chain management or related function.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience with QuickBooks is a plus.
Additional Requirements
- Travel requirement within the United States (estimated 10% annually).
- Some lifting and the movement of moderate loads require 50-pound lifting requirement.
- Willingness to work outside of standard business hours, including evenings and weekends, based on business demands.
