THE ROLE

The Inventory Coordinator is responsible for managing inventory activities across multiple co-manufacturing locations, ensuring efficient and accurate handling of item receipts, sales order fulfillments, and inventory reconciliations. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with great multitasking abilities, communication, and problem-solving skills; someone who can work cross-functionally with purchasing, R&D, and master data teams to manage bills of materials (BOM) and lead inventory cycle counts.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Oversee and coordinate assembly builds for all co-manufacturing locations.
  • Cultivate relationships across all warehouse locations, including our co-manufacturers, co-packers, and 3PLs.
  • Collaborate cross functionally within the Operations team for inbound/stock transfer processes; facilitate the end-to-end process to minimize traceability gaps.
  • Identify and fix inventory issues, seeking also to understand their root causes, collaborating with internal business partners to develop long term solutions to recurring issues.
  • Partners with the Accounting team to ensure inventory transactions are recorded timely and accurately to meet weekly and monthly reporting requirements.
  • Identify all excess, obsolete, and slow-moving inventory, reports and make recommendations on inventory reduction opportunities.
  • Performs necessary functions for scheduled and unscheduled inventory cycle counts; maintain necessary files and documentation.
  • Manage item receipt and sales order fulfillments for turnkey partners; and ensure accuracy and timeliness in the processing of item receipts and sales orders.
  • Handle purchase order item receipts and POD (Proof of Delivery) management; and verify and process purchase order item receipts promptly.
  • Validate third-party material consumption and inventories to maintain accuracy and consistency.
  • Conduct monthly inventory reconciliations and create item adjustments as required; collaborate with the accounting team to execute necessary adjustments.
  • Oversee the fulfillment and receipt of transfer orders to maintain inventory flow.
  • Work closely with the Quality Assurance (QA) team to manage and update inventory status.
  • Collaborate with Purchasing, R&D, and Master Data teams to manage bills of materials (BOM).
  • Lead quarterly or bi-annual cycle count efforts at third-party warehouses (3PW) and co-manufacturers
  • Coordinate with third-party partners to manage and standardize reporting requests, including inbound/outbound reporting, inventory on hand reporting, and scrap reporting.

  • Extensive knowledge of Inventory Management, Warehousing, and Procurement.
  • Direct experience conducting month-end inventory reconciliations for raw materials and finished goods.
  • Experience operating in conjunction with contract manufacturers.

YOUR BACKGROUND

  • 2+ years of experience in Operations, preferably in Inventory Management
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or practical experience
  • Experience in the Food and Beverages industry preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite with advanced working knowledge with Excel

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • 30% travel requirement (national).
  • Willingness to work outside of standard business hours, including evenings and weekends, based on business demands.
  • The ability to sit, stand, walk, and type for long periods of time.

COMPENSATION: Our comprehensive compensation package plays a big part in how we recognize you for the impact you have on our path to achieving our mission. For this role, the estimated base salary range is between $65,000- $75,000. The actual base salary will vary based on various factors, including market and individual qualifications objectively assessed during the interview process. The listed range above is a guideline, and the base salary range for this role may be modified.
