Responsibilities

• Ownership of plant quality program/department
• Develop standardized production, quality, and customer-service standards
• Identify potential risks before they become a problem, focusing on root cause analysis and preventive action
• Perform internal and external quality audits and compile detailed reports of findings
• Build a strong team through coaching, mentoring, specific training and performance evaluations
• Develop and implement SOPs
• Drive continuous improvement
• Utilize data for analysis and reporting
• Responsible for ensuring the facility is audit-ready every day

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Engineering
• 5+ years' relevant work experience
• Highly organized with excellent attention to detail
• Deep experience with SQF, must be certified
• Ability to communicate with team members in Spanish
• Strong quality management experience in food manufacturing
• Someone who is very hands-on and connects well with people
• Data and metrics focused, experience with lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, etc
• Meat/USDA experience a plus
