Job Title: Supply Chain Manager

Reports to: VP Operations

Location: Birmingham, AL (On-site)

About Us: Our company is a Birmingham, AL based operating platform of Consumer Packaged-Goods (CPG) Food Businesses. Our company has been actively investing in and operating CPG businesses since 1998, providing growth capital and operational expertise to a diversified portfolio of minority and majority control investments.

Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled Supply Chain Leader to manage and enhance our supply chain operations. The ideal candidate will have experience in the food industry and a strong background in logistics, inventory management, and supplier relations. The Supply Chain Manager will be responsible for ensuring the efficient flow of goods from suppliers to customers, optimizing inventory levels, and driving continuous improvement in supply chain processes. This role will directly manage the Demand Planner at the company.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement supply chain strategies to meet business objectives and ensure the timely delivery of products to market.
  • Manage and optimize inventory levels to balance supply and demand while minimizing costs.
  • Oversee procurement processes, including supplier selection, negotiation, and relationship management.
  • Manage Co-Manufacturing partners to ensure our quality standards are met and ingredient costing is in line with market averages.
  • Coordinate with production and warehousing teams to ensure seamless operations.
  • Analyze and report supply chain performance metrics and identify areas for improvement.
  • Manage supplier scorecards and conduct quarterly performance reviews.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support new product launches and address supply chain challenges.
  • Monitor industry trends and regulatory changes to ensure compliance and incorporate best practices.
  • Foster a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

  • BS Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field.
  • Proven experience (5+ years) in supply chain management, preferably within the food industry.
  • Strong understanding of supply chain processes, inventory management, and procurement.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
  • Effective communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
  • Proficiency in supply chain management software and tools (e.g., ERP systems, forecasting tools).
