WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

We are looking for a Director of Foodservice to fuel our growth across the country. This role will be responsible for managing the food service business and carrying themselves with enthusiasm and passion for our purpose, mission, and values. Reporting to the Director of Sales, the position exists to drive sales, build market share, and increase brand awareness while driving sales with long-term relationships with key regional and national chain accounts, marquee independent accounts, and brokers and distributors within the market.

The Director of Foodservice will be an integral part of the team and the face of the brand. The right candidate will be passionate about sustainability and coffee, have a strong ability to operate with autonomy, and be highly motivated by sales results. Key responsibilities include leading sales in target accounts, delivering outsized results, and customer relationship management.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Sales Strategy and Execution: Help build and execute the Foodservice Sales strategy alongside the Chief Revenue Officer/Co-Founder and Director of Sales. This will range from the appropriate target accounts to the right distribution and broker partners to customer forecasts. You will also be an engaged participant in the customer planning process
  • Strategic Partner and Cross-Functional Relationship Management: You'll own
  • conversations with our brand's most strategic food service partners. And you'll work cross-functionally with our internal team to provide valuable insights to such initiatives as marketing support and new product development, among others.
  • Planning and Forecasting - Build out territory distribution, and customer forecasts, and also be an engaged participant in the customer planning process.
  • Create Valuable Partnerships: Source new food service sales opportunities through inbound lead follow-up, outbound cold calls and in-person meetings. Come to the table with and establish new, strong relationships at the food service operator level.
  • Brand Leader and Storyteller: Plant the flag about what sets us apart from the pack in regards to health, sustainability, and origin story. As a Brand Leader, become the go-to expert in product knowledge and customer segment needs across the food service channel.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING

  • 5+ years sales experience. Experience in foodservice sales is required.
  • You've demonstrated success with an emerging brand or a highly competitive
  • consumer products category.
  • You have a builder mentality and are excited to join a founding team in a fast-paced
  • environment with perseverance and grit and can deliver on ambitious sales targets.
  • From initial outreach through execution, you've consistently demonstrated success in
  • winning new business and cultivating existing business.
  • You have an entrepreneurial spirit in that you're comfortable with ambiguity and are
  • energized by the process of building something lasting from the ground up.
  • You exhibit a strong work ethic, positive attitude, growth-oriented mindset, and
  • strong interpersonal skills to get things done.
  • For this role, essential functions include, but are not limited to: being licensed and in good standing to operate an automobile, lift 12-pound cases, and willingness to travel 50% of the time.
