Our client is looking for a Product Marketing Lead who has experience scaling an emerging brand via effective product marketing. This is a strategic leader role responsible for driving the go-to-market strategy, messaging, and positioning of the brand’s products globally, ensuring our products’ market competitiveness and alignment with our customer’s needs. Our future Product Marketing Lead knows how to plan, execute, and lead a cross-functional team toward high-impact product messaging across multiple marketing touchpoints. This leader will help the brand to position and plan our go-to-market strategies for our 2025 product launches (and beyond) while also helping to define and distinguish the positioning of our active portfolio products.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conduct and be an expert in product category research for main competitive categories and extension line sets
  • Define clear and actionable marketing positions for future product launches, distinguishing from its competitors and creating a unique brand image for consumers
  • Work closely with product innovation team to solidify business case decks to include: thorough competitor research, an outline of researched consumer needs, and distinguished product positioning
  • Work with Sr. Director of Marketing to improve overall product marketing performance by studying, evaluating, and solidifying product strategies to stand out amongst the industry.
  • Understand and socialize product category perceptions and performance trends within our key retail environments to help inform pricing & marketing strategies
  • Evolve and refine product messaging frameworks to best suit the needs of marketing that will attract new-to-brand customers
  • Be the internal expert and champion of all things product messaging. From high level positioning, to leading RTBs, to primary ingredient stories
  • Develop clear sub-brand product guidelines and consumer-friendly hierarchies for evolving portfolio offerings that streamline the wayfinding and shopping process for our consumers
  • Develop product launch go-to-market strategies , develop into integrated marketing campaign plans, and lead multi-channel marketing team to GTM success
  • Work with sales-channel leads to create effective briefs for sales and marketing materials to support and promote the product externally
  • Manage product campaign planning and briefing with all internal (channel
  • owners) and external (agencies) campaign partners
  • Partner with cross-functional and (occasional) agency teams to ideate and produce highly effective online and offline product messaging strategies that advance business objectives: from awareness through to loyalty

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • 6+ years of experience as product marketing leader
  • Experience building brands via innovative & high-conversion product storytelling
  • Experience working on premium brands with high-growth innovation strategies, CPG brand experience required
  • Experience working with brands that have both eCommerce and retail models
  • Experience leading brands from both agency and client-side is a plus
