Position Overview

The Supply Planner plays a pivotal role in overseeing the planning and scheduling of our inventory and production operations. This position demands a keen eye for numbers, strong organizational skills, and the ability to quickly address and rectify delays. Effective communication with key stakeholders is crucial for aligning and re-aligning schedules as needed.

Key Responsibilities

- Collaborate within a team to strategize the logistics of moving products from suppliers through manufacturing to our warehouses.

- Convert sales forecasts, promotional activities, and seasonal trends into actionable inventory plans that optimize stock levels, reduce stockouts, and maximize inventory turnover.

- Analyze and report on forecasts versus actual outcomes.

- Monitor and report on performance issues, bottlenecks, and shortages, and propose solutions as necessary.

Required Skills and Abilities

- Proficiency with electronic inventory transactions (POs, BOMs, etc.).

- Knowledge of production planning, plant environments, and procurement processes related to inventory planning and tracking.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, well-organized, with the ability to prioritize and multitask.

- Meticulous attention to detail, capable of managing multiple projects and meeting deadlines.

- Excellent communication skills via email, Slack, and in meetings, with the ability to clearly convey priorities and drive results.

- Familiarity with collaboration, reporting, and data visualization tools, and proficiency in learning new software applications and using complex spreadsheet formulas. Proficient in MS Office and Google Workspace.

- Eagerness to engage with new ideas and challenges.

- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

- Understanding of complex supply chains and the interconnections within them.

- Competence in using forecasting tools, analyzing numbers, and comprehending the impact of supply and demand on the business.

Experience

- Knowledge of or experience in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, and Logistics.

- Experience with Consumer Product Goods is a plus but not required.

- Proven experience working with detailed spreadsheets and data analysis, preferably in the retail sector.

- Modeling experience is a plus.
