*This is a hybrid role in the Greater Chicago Area*

Key Responsibilities:

  • Amazon Marketplace Management: Develop and implement effective strategies for Amazon, focusing on FBA to maximize sales, develop portfolio strategy, manage inventory efficiently, oversee digital advertising campaigns, ensure industry leading A+ content and location and proactive management of Agency partners. Familiarity with FBM is desirable in case of future expansion into this model. In addition, experience with beverage or similar category in Amazon would be beneficial but not required given the unique logistics and fulfillment challenges associated with beverage.
  • E-commerce Strategy & Execution: Lead the development and execution of comprehensive e-commerce strategies for D2C platforms and third-party marketplaces (including major retailers), driving revenue growth and enhancing customer engagement.
  • Hands-On Execution: Actively engage in daily e-commerce operations, from optimizing product listings and launching e-commerce-focused SKUs/ASINs to analyzing sales data and managing fulfillment processes.
  • Performance Optimization: Utilize data to drive traffic, conversion, and increase overall sales performance through SEO, PPC, and other marketing strategies. Constantly evaluate and iterate strategies to improve results. Organize data into insights to enable a common understanding of performance.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with sales, supply chain, and external partners to develop and execute SKU/ASIN strategies, joint promotions and activations, aligning efforts across on-line and in-store channels.
  • Vendor Management: Manage and maintain strong relationships with third-party vendors and service providers, ensuring that platforms, tools, and marketing services are optimized to support business goals.
  • Creative Problem-Solving: Leverage a proactive, innovative mindset to overcome challenges and drive success in a dynamic and entrepreneurial environment.
  • Project Management: Efficiently manage multiple projects, ensuring timely execution and delivering results that align with strategic objectives.
  • Data-Driven Insights: Use analytics to inform decisions, measure campaign effectiveness, and identify opportunities for growth and improvement

Qualifications

  • Experience:
  • Minimum of 5 years in e-commerce management within the CPG industry, with strong experience managing Amazon platforms (primarily FBA).
  • Familiarity with FBM models is a plus, providing flexibility for potential future initiatives.
  • Proven success in developing and executing strategies that drive significant sales growth.
  • Proven success of optimizing/syndicating a brand’s digital shelf and driving consumer conversion at the point of sale including digital marketplaces.
  • Demonstrated success of digitally creating awareness and conversion to sale of brand in both the digital and brick and mortar channels.
  • Amazon Expertise:
  • Deep knowledge of Amazon Seller Central, including FBA logistics, advertising tools, development of A+ content, review optimization and best practices for optimizing product visibility and sales.
  • Technical Proficiency:
  • Familiar with other e-commerce platforms (e.g., Shopify) and analytics tools like Google Analytics.
  • Strong understanding of SEO, SEM, PPC, and emerging digital trends.
  • Project Management Skills:
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and deliver exceptional results.
  • Since the brand is an entrepreneurial environment, successful candidate will have both the desire and ability to operate across Amazon, digital marketplaces as well traditional brick and mortar retailers to increase brand awareness and consumer conversion.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively with sales teams and partner brand teams to develop and execute joint, local, in-store/digital promotions and activations.
  • Familiarity with creating promotional strategies and digital/in-store activations that amplify brand visibility and support sales strategies.
