Our client is an established beer importer with a strong portfolio of brands. This person’s primary responsibility will be managing the wholesaler relationships, as well as developing on- and off-premise accounts with a focus on growing sales in key metro areas across TX, AR, KS, MO, LA, & OK.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage wholesaler relationships (75%) and account relationships (25%) for the designated portfolio
- Call on retail & on-premise accounts to build brand presence and achieve POD/Volume goals
- Manage in-market budgets and deploy resources effectively vs goal
- Monitor distributor performance, build ABPs, and implement pricing/programming strategies designed to achieve sales & profitability targets
Candidate Profile
- Beer background, with experience working with AB network in Texas
- Experience owning BOH distributor management responsibilities, preferably with multiple states
- Entrepreneurial, hunter mentality - we’re targeting candidates who are proactive and know how to turn distributor teams into ambassadors/extensions of the supplier sales team
- Ability to work independently, set priorities, and manage time effectively without a great deal of handholding
- Must be able to lift 30 lbs
- Preference for DFW, Houston, or Austin-based candidates
