About the Company & Role

A leading company in the fresh foods industry is seeking an energetic and passionate Key Account Manager to drive strategic growth and revenue generation for key accounts. This role will be responsible for expanding existing business and developing new nationwide and regional customers. The Key Account Manager will serve as the primary point of contact for all account matters, anticipate customer needs, and collaborate with sales representatives and brokers to ensure exceptional service and execution.

The ideal candidate is passionate about sustainable agriculture and aligned with the company’s mission and values. This is an exciting opportunity for a self-motivated, analytical, and highly organized professional to join a rapidly growing, innovative company dedicated to transforming the food system.

Overview of Responsibilities:

  • Manage and grow existing key and regional retail accounts
  • Maintain relationships with a small number of key retailers, focusing on account management rather than heavy new business development
  • Work cross-functionally with marketing, operations, and leadership to align sales strategy with company objectives
  • Utilize syndicated data for category reviews and sales presentations
  • Travel as needed (approximately 15%) to meet with key accounts and attend industry events

Overview of Candidate Profile:

  • 5+ years of sales experience in the food industry - fresh foods preferred but not required
  • Must have prior experience calling on the leading national retailers, distributors, and operators
  • Strong intellectual horsepower—seeking a multidimensional candidate who can think strategically beyond sales
  • Must be professional and intelligent, with the ability to work across different departments
  • Experience in account management and maintaining/growing existing business rather than heavy outbound sales
