Who you are…
We are seeking a high-energy, results-driven Business Development Manager to drive new client acquisition for our executive staffing agency. This role is focused on hunting and closing new business, building relationships with key decision-makers, and expanding our market presence. The ideal candidate will have existing relationships with consumer brands, and a genuine interest in helping these brands to grow through an effective talent acquisition strategy. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
New Business Development:
- Proactively identify, engage, and close new clients in need of executive staffing solutions.
- Develop targeted outreach strategies via cold calling, networking, LinkedIn, HubSpot and industry events.
- Build relationships with senior HR leaders, hiring managers, and C-suite executives.
- Present compelling pitches that communicate the value of our services, qualify prospects, and ensure alignment with their needs.
- Negotiate contract terms and successfully close deals to meet and exceed sales targets
Sales & Revenue Growth:
- Own the top-of-funnel sales process, from lead generation to deal close, then seamlessly handoff new clients to the recruitment and account management team for execution.
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to meet and exceed revenue goals.
- Maintain a robust pipeline and provide accurate sales forecasts by maintaining data in the company's CRM.
Collaboration with Recruitment Team:
- Work closely with recruiters to align client expectations with talent availability.
- Provide clear client insights to the recruitment team to ensure strong candidate-client matches.
- Partner with recruiters on client calls, pitches, and closing deals.
- Industry & Market Expertise:
- Stay up to date on hiring trends, industry shifts, and competitor strategies.
- Use market intelligence to refine sales strategies and tailor client conversations.
- Position the agency as a go-to partner for executive staffing solutions.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must have experience in a recruitment agency or other B2B professional services with CPG customers with a proven track record in business development.
- Strong hunter mentality with the ability to generate and close new business.
- Exceptional sales, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Experience selling executive or professional-level staffing solutions preferred.
- Experience penetrating all levels and functions of a company
- Experience selling to C-Suite executives, Board Members, and investors
- Experience selling remotely through chat, shared documents, and video calls
- Relationships with consumer brand/CPG executives
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, competitive, commission-driven environment.
- Proficiency with CRM tools (Bullhorn a plus!), LinkedIn, and other sales tech.
- Strong understanding of the executive hiring process and client needs.
