Our client, a fast-growing beverage company, is seeking a Finance/Accounting Manager to join their team in Los Angeles. This is a hybrid role with in-office expectations three days per week and the opportunity to work alongside a passionate, mission-driven team.

About the Role

The Finance/Accounting Manager will be responsible for leading general accounting operations, supervising a small team, managing trade spend, and supporting financial reporting and analysis. This is a critical hire for a growing company seeking a detail-oriented and collaborative finance leader.

Key Responsibilities

Lead general ledger and full-cycle accounting activities, including journal entry preparation and review
Oversee the month-end close process, working closely with AR and AP staff
Supervise and support two direct reports, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in transactional processes
Manage and analyze trade spend and key financial investments
Take ownership of vendor and customer reconciliations; train staff on proper procedures
Maintain schedules for prepaid expenses, accruals, fixed assets, and bank reconciliations
Collaborate with internal departments and external partners to ensure timely and accurate financial transactions
Participate in cross-training efforts to enhance team flexibility and support
Perform ad-hoc financial analysis and special projects as needed

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance
5–7+ years of relevant accounting/finance experience
Hands-on experience with NetSuite ERP
Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards
Advanced Excel skills (including VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, IF statements)
Strong communication and organizational abilities
Prior experience in the food, beverage, or broader consumer products industry strongly preferred
Must reside in the Los Angeles area and be able to work onsite three days a week
