This company is looking for a dynamic Procurement Buyer to lead inventory planning and vendor partnerships across their retail network. You’ll represent the company to distributors and brands, forecast product needs, negotiate purchases, and discover new opportunities at industry events. Your role will ensure product availability, optimize costs, and support sales growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze sales and buyer data to plan stock levels, place purchase orders, and prevent inventory gaps or excess.
• Act as the main liaison with distributors and brand partners. Negotiate pricing, terms, and deliveries while resolving any performance issues.
• Attend trade shows to identify trending products. Support product launches and share performance insights with brand partners.
• Conduct cost analysis, track procurement KPIs, and suggest efficiency improvements.
• Work closely with sales, marketing, logistics, and merchandising to align inventory and brand strategies.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in procurement, buying, or brand/category management (CPG, grocery, or retail preferred)
• Strong vendor negotiation and relationship management experience
• Skilled in data analysis and Excel; ERP/procurement system experience a plus
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Merchandising, or related field
• Detail-oriented, strategic thinker, and comfortable with travel
