Director of Finance

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Director of Finance to lead all aspects of financial operations, planning, and strategy. This role will serve as a key partner to executive leadership and will be responsible for driving financial discipline, operational efficiency, and long-term growth across all channels and functions. The ideal candidate brings a strong foundation in financial leadership, a deep understanding of product-based businesses, and the ability to scale finance operations in fast-paced, high-growth environments.

Qualifications

Must-Have:

• 7+ years of progressive experience in finance, including at least 3 years in a leadership role.
• Proven success in a CPG, retail, or physical product company environment.
• Strong understanding of inventory and cost accounting, supply chain finance, and financial operations.
• Deep knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
• Proficiency with financial modeling, planning tools, and ERP systems.

Preferred:

• CPA, CFA, or MBA.
• Experience in high-growth startups and scaling financial operations.
• Familiarity with omnichannel distribution and retail trade dynamics (e.g., slotting fees, chargebacks).
• Experience implementing or working with systems like NetSuite, QuickBooks, DEAR, Unleashed, or Katana.
