  • Review deferred compensation plans for compliance with Section 409A and evaluate the impact of Section 162(m).
  • Establish processes for computing tax impacts and determining non-GAAP disclosures.
  • Develop a system to ensure the completeness of location information from employees to address tax implications, including taxation of equity, state tax nexus, and permanent establishment.

  • Create a formal repository of income tax accounting policies, desktop procedures, and tax accounting close manuals.
  • Assess the impact of Pillar Two across the jurisdictions in which WHOOP operates.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, taxation, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in tax management, preferably in a corporate or public accounting environment.
  • Strong understanding of tax planning strategies and experience managing indirect taxes.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a strong attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with NetSuite and ONESOURCE is a plus.
Interested in the role but don’t meet every qualification? We encourage you to still apply! At WHOOP, we believe there is much more to a candidate than what is written on paper, and we value character as much as experience. As we continue to build a diverse and inclusive environment, we encourage anyone who is interested in this role to apply.
