Quality Systems Manager

JOB SUMMARY:
The Quality Systems Manager will oversee the creation, implementation and maintenance of quality systems, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations, company standards, and industry best practices. This role involves developing and supporting quality assurance programs, conducting audits, ensuring adherence to internal and external standards, and supporting the quality team. The role will also lead the company Supplier Management Program.
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Create, maintain, and continuously improve quality systems for Good Culture's food safety and quality and supply chain teams. Help create a world class quality program to ensure the finest products that consistently exceed consumer expectations
- Manage document control system
- Oversee attainment of required certifications including GFSI, Kosher, Keto & Organic and provide information and documents to customers and the sales team
- Assist with coordination, review, and follow-up of the Corrective/Preventive Action program (CAPA)
- Develop and maintain Supplier Management Program. Maintain documentation, schedule and conduct food safety and quality audits, and document CAPA. Work with Supply Chain on supplier performance / scorecards

JOB QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor of Science degree in Food Science, Microbiology or closely related field preferred
- 4-7 years of experience in food manufacturing and quality assurance
- Ability to obtain HACCP/Preventative Controls Qualified Individual & Better Process Control School certification
- Strong Understanding of food safety and quality systems and programs
- Knowledge of federal and state food industry regulations including the Food Safety Modernization Act, Code of Federal Regulations, Pasteurized Milk Ordinance
- Strong understanding and experience developing policy standards in support of plant certifications including GFSI, Kosher, Keto & Organic as required
- Ability to interact effectively with third party and internal auditors
- Ability to influence management & enable the activities of employee teams
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong computer and document management skills
The is a remote position with roughly 20% travel in the US
